DVD Authoring is the process of bringing all the Digital Assets together (Video, Audio, Menus etc) and programming the links and interactivity of the DVD. The authoring process allows users to navigate a DVD and access various segments within the DVD. Compliance with the DVD specification is paramount.
FATS Digital can assist your project through
- Premastering, technically checking the video and audio and transferring the video footage to the correct standard (Pal, NTSC) and aspect ratio
- Developing the Disc configuration with you. This produces the plan for your completed DVD and ensures your project is completed on time and within budget.
- Encoding your video to the highest quality using Variable Bit Rate Encoding. (VBR)
- Encoding the audio to the Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG standard. Up to 8 audio streams can be supported.
- Developing and producing interactive, motion and still menu pages to navigate your completed DVD project.
- Preparing subtitles for inclusion on your finished DVD. Up to 32 subtitle streams can be supported.
- Author your DVD project to provide the navigation and interactivity.
- QC and output your DVD project to DLT ready for mass replication or duplication.
